Frequently Asked Questions
Is a helicopter a safe mode of
transportation?
-
Yes, there are
many myths and misunderstandings about
helicopters, but the bottom line is they are
safe.
The FAA and Robinson helicopter have
gotten together to assure the competence of
pilots operating the R44 helicopter.
And although we often fly much lower to
the ground, our landing area is so much smaller,
that if you ask many duel rated pilot they will
tell you they’d rather be in a helicopter than a
plane in an emergency.
Our helicopter is maintained by only FAA
certified mechanics and is inspected every 50
hrs to assure its safe and effective
transportation of its occupants.
What kind of events can I schedule
the helicopter for?
-
We have done
everything from birthdays, to toys for tots, to
skydiving events.
If you can think of it, odds are, we can
do it.
Give us a call with something creative so
we can add it to the list.
-
Can
the helicopter land anywhere?
-
Although the
helicopter is very versatile, it cannot land
anywhere.
Private property must give us permission
and the parks agencies can sometimes restrict
access.
However, due to the power of the R44
there are very few places we can’t physically
land the helicopter in NY and VT.
